Why Video Marketing? 7 Reasons To Try It
It’s no secret that video marketing works. We all know it. We may be biased, but the truth is that even with the best marketing strategy, you’re not getting the best results without some form of video. So why video marketing? Let’s look at 7 of the top reasons you need to use it.
So Why Video Marketing?
It’s no secret that video marketing works. We all know it. We may be biased, but the truth is that even with the best marketing strategy, you’re not getting the best results without some form of video. So why video marketing? Let’s look at 7 of the top reasons you need to use it.
Easy Communication
A video makes it easy to speak to your target audience. It’s personal, gives you a human touch, and it’s faster to communicate than text or even social media. When it comes to fitting in as much content as possible, video is king. By pulling text and visuals into one medium, your audience doesn’t have to work as hard. You can make your offering or brand clear.
Boost Sales and Conversions
The end goal of most marketing strategies is more sales. And nothing adds a boost to your bottom line quite like a well-executed video strategy. It’s one of the main reasons why video marketing is the favorite of marketers and businesses today. If you want more eyes on your brand, jump on the video marketing bandwagon ASAP. It’s great for pulling leads into your funnel, but it can also improve conversions on your landing page.
Popularity
Another good reason to start marketing with video? It’s popular. Thanks to platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, video is now the most popular way for people to take in media - especially millennials and Gen Z. Basically, there’s a good chance your target audience is using it. So you should, too.
ROI (and Extras)
One story can go a long way. It can be evergreen and re-edited. It can be used to gather additional content: 1) static imagery pulled from the video, 2) pull quotes from testimonials, 3) campaign headlines from the script.
Good for Mobile Viewers
These days, most people use their phones to do pretty much everything. Again, no surprise there. Videos are easy to view on mobile, which means you are more likely to get the attention of your target audience where they are.
Social Shares
We hope you know this, but social shares are when people share your content on a social media platform like Facebook, Twitter, etc. What’s the most common type of content shared on social media? Yup - video. Since video is the most consumed type of content, it’s also the most shareable.
Higher Search Rank
As video continues to grow in popularity, search engines have taken notice. Google, Bing, and other search engines now favor SERPS with video results over text. To get the most out of your SEO strategy, start marketing with video. It’s only going to help you. We promise. Most platforms automatically transcript the spoken words in your video to text to improve search rankings. Oh, and YouTube is the second largest search engine, so there’s that.
