Autonomous Humanoid Ready to Work.
When Hexagon started talking to us about autonomous humanoids, we had two thoughts. First, is this real? Second, is this good for people?
After learning more about their approach and vision, we were all in.
Workshopping ideas with their team, we develop dozens of high-level approaches, but centered ourselves on some words from their CEO.
While competitors show their robots dancing, AEON is all about work. And the team is pragmatic. Focusing on features that help AEON in an industrial setting. Not bragging. Not being flashy. Being real.
All of this went back to three underpinning requirements for a humanoid to work. The basics? Skills and versatility. How it moves and performance tasks. And, the differentiator, how it perceives the environment. Awareness.
Once we nailed the concept, we began storyboarding and pulled in our friends at Bolder to crush the look. Their team took our initial inspiration and thought up incredible solutions from making abstract ideas pop. With them, the final concept made its way across the finish line along with our Director's Cut.

Where the product launch video is techy and cool, we wanted to bring the humans building AEON to the forefront. Why? To show thoughtful people designing with purpose.
This lead to a 'making of' series called "Engineering AEON". A slightly fun approach to sharing some of the biggest challenges of creating AEON. A series of videos designed to highlight the engineering breakthrough of AEON.
This series is intentionally designed to be approachable. It isn't filmed in the most beautiful way possible. It is more candid and authentic. It's also built to be scaled to more episodes and more products.
